Created with acrylic paint, with pen and ink on canvas, the piece is part of an ongoing series of works called ‘The Money Trees’. The title of this work is a reference to both the film/book ‘The 39 Steps’, and events in Russia and Ukraine where munitions and wreckage were dropped from the skys onto the surrounding landscape following the coup d’etat in Kiev.
