One of the worlds longest running arts and cultural festivals, Belfast Festival at Queens 2013 is extending the festivities right across Belfast City and features the work of artists and performers from 24 countries. 

Celebrating the legacy of poet Louis MacNeice, four of Northern Ireland’s celebrated poets, Michael Longley, Ciaran Carson, recently appointed poet laureate for Belfast, Sinead Morrissey and Leontia Flynn took part in a very special reading marking the 50th anniversary of his death. 

The Legacy Trust and Cultural Olympiad programmes, culminating in the London 2012 Festival, touched the lives of an unprecedented number of people and brought the Games to vivid life for audiences across Northern Ireland.

The HAPPY DAYS Enniskillen International Beckett Festival is the world’s first annual, multi-arts celebration of the great Irish Nobel Prize winning writer, Samuel Beckett. After a hugely successful first outing in 2013 the festival returns in August with another spectacular international line-up.

With a high-profile programme of events that includes the return of Field Day theatre, Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and the Turner Prize, the arts are transforming the image of Derry~Londonderry from ‘city of conflict’ to ‘city of culture’.
