Funding

Arts Council funding supports hundreds of artists, arts practitioners, venues and communities. We invest money from Government and the National Lottery to support arts and culture across Northern Ireland.

From visual art and literature, to music, dance, theatre and more, we aim to fund great art that everyone can reach and enjoy.

We are the main support for artists and arts organisations, offering a broad range of funding opportunities through our Exchequer and National Lottery funds.

Have questions about the funding application process?

Our Funding Programmes are open to individuals and to organisations. Each funding programme is different, and each programme has useful guidance notes on who can apply, and what you can apply for.

Other Funders

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has a fixed source of public funding to allocate each year. We often receive more successful, eligible applications than we have the resources to fund.

A range of organisations currently offer funding to artists, arts organisations, arts consortium organisations, artist-led/partnership-led collaborative projects.
