A spectacular celebration of creativity across Northern Ireland this April
The Get Creative Weekend takes place all over the UK from 7th – 9th April 2017. In Northern Ireland, we have two huge Createathon events in the Ulster Museum Belfast and the Verbal Arts Centre in Derry City on Saturday 8th April.
Other events will be held throughout Northern Ireland in Bangor, Portstewart and Ballymoney.
Get Creative is a campaign run by a group of cultural organisations, including Voluntary Arts, the BBC and all four UK arts councils, to celebrate and support the everyday creativity happening in homes and public spaces. From guerrilla gardening in your street to paint by numbers in your local library, via nail art, yarn bombing and singing in a choir we’re building an actively creative UK that caters for everyone of every age, background and ability.
You can get involved by hosting an event that encourages people or communities to try something new, or come along to one of our Get Creative events and try it for yourself! You can also badge any relevant, existing programming you have organised over this weekend as part of the Get Creative Weekend.
