All In Gateway Coordinator
University of Atypical

The All In Gateway Coordinator will oversee local consultation with prospective users of the scheme; guide creation of digital and audiovisual resources to publicise All In to the wider public in Northern Ireland; recruit a cohort of pilot organisations and guide them through the pilot; collaborate with the wider University of Atypical team on marketing, communications, finance, reporting, and delivery of the pilot; synthesise and report findings to the Atypical team, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, and All In Central.

All In is a new disabled-led access scheme being collaboratively developed by the 5 national Arts Councils of the UK and Ireland.

It seeks to improve the experiences of D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent audiences at cultural venues through the creation of a centralised access registration. This reduces the need to repeatedly disclose access needs or to have multiple access profiles.

On the organisational side, All In organisations, who can self-assess and improve using the All In standards, create a profile of the access provisions they have in place. These can be seen by All In members and the general public. This creates a standardised way of communicating access, and gives prospective visitors good information about what to expect at an All In member venue.

All In is currently in a pilot phase to get the programme ready for rollout in Northern Ireland, and to gather information from prospective users and organisations that will steer a regional All In strategy.

About the Organisation

University of Atypical for Arts and Disability (UofA) is the lead sectoral organisation in arts and disability in Northern Ireland. We are disabled-led, and take an empowerment-based approach towards d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent people’s involvement in the arts, as audience members and creative practitioners. The Atypical Gallery is the only gallery space on this island dedicated to promoting professional d/Deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent artists.
