Murley Silver Band host concert in Fivemiletown

Players from Murley Silver Band were out in fine tune on Friday 19th September for a special concert at the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown. The band received funding of £5,520 in December 2024 from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s Musical Instrument Programme to purchase new instruments including a xylophone, cornet and mutes. The funding scheme, supported by the Department for Communities, is designed to increase the quality of musical making in Northern Ireland, helping bands, groups and professional musicians replace worn out instrument and to purchase new ones.
