Wellbeing Course offers artists the chance to reconnect with their creativity

A creative wellbeing course for artists based Northern Ireland will take place next week at the MAC.

Run by Tinderbox Theatre Company, which is core funded by the Arts Council, The Tinderbox Holistic Arts Practice (HAP) School is a three-day training programme designed to support creative wellbeing of those working in the arts sector in Northern Ireland.
Ideal for anyone working in the arts sector who wants to feel more balanced, energised, and creatively connected, this immersive course combines artist development with practical tools for personal resilience and self-care.
Led by Patrick J. O’Reilly, Artistic Director of Tinderbox Theatre Company and a licensed creative therapist (IICT), the programme offers a supportive space to reconnect with your practice and restore your energy.
Over the three days, participants will explore:
- The power of creative play
- Techniques to unlock creative flow
- How the body responds to stress
- Practical tools for relaxation and meditation
- Understanding the roots of stress and overwork, and learning how to shift from mental overwhelm to clarity and balance
