The National Lottery Organisations Digital Evolution Awards aims to support organisations creating digital arts projects or creating opportunities for NI audiences to experience digital art. The programme is one of the Arts Council’s core National Lottery programme areas and to date has provided £237,000 funding to organisations in the delivery of 24 digital arts projects across the region.

The National Lottery Individual Artists Digital Evolution Awards aims to support those artists who are making digital art or showcasing their digital arts to NI audiences. The programme encourages cross-sectoral collaboration and offers artists across all art forms the opportunity to apply for grants of up to £10,000 each for proposals that will take place between 1 March 2027 and 29 February 2028. To date this programme has provided £366,651 funding to individual artists in the delivery of 40 digital arts projects across the region.

Matthew Malcolm, Arts Development Officer, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, commented, “Thanks to the National Lottery, this investment will support the creation of ambitious art using digital and immersive technologies and will help organisations and individual artists to develop skills in the use of these new technologies.

"These digital programmes reflect the Arts Council’s commitment to encouraging experimentation, innovation and artistic risk taking, and to building digital capabilities within the Northern Ireland arts sector. The projects created through this funding also help to widen and diversify audiences, ensuring that more people from all backgrounds can enjoy arts experiences. We look forward to welcoming applications soon.”
