Widening Access
We recognise the importance of diversity in the arts sector and are committed to being inclusive and accessible to all. Investment in the arts creates opportunities for more people, from all backgrounds and communities, to enjoy and take part in the arts.
This includes those across the demographic spectrum of Northern Ireland; young and old, urban and rural, those from ethnic minorities and those who haven’t taken part in any arts activity at all. This flows from our commitment to (Article 27 UDHR) that it is a universal human right to participate in all forms of cultural life.
In 2024/25:
face-to-face contact hours through participation-based arts by our funded organisations.*
exhibitions, supporting continued public access to visual arts across Northern Ireland by our funded organisations.*
performances were delivered demonstrating excellent levels of artistic production and audience engagement.*
